Been looking around a few forums.. Some very good reviews for both Eurocharged MSL and DMS

The price quoted from MSL and Eurocharged are pretty much the same

But the price quoted for DMS for just there remap seems extortionate in comparison.

anyone know how and why DMS get away with charging 0000s on a remap? :dk:

As MSL are an agent for Eurocharged then the costs should be comparative, and they are both proven with the E55 as well, so I suppose the choice would be down to location really.

I use MSL Performance as they're nearer to me, though would have no hesitation in using Eurocharged if they were closer. :)

I don't know anything about DMS so can't comment.

Eurocharged and MSL have now developed the map for these platforms and have got it pretty spot on, they do alot of AMG`s and can provide the tune at a cheaper price. DMS may not have done as many AMG`s and hence the price point will still be higher.

How much have they quoted you ?
I've used DMS for a good few years now on many different makes and models and are more than happy with their service.

I have had numerous ECU maps applied to my car (O6 E55), since my initial ownership in 06, DMS, Car Planet racing (before their demise), West tuning and 2 no. Eurocharged maps, all done at various stages of modifications being fitted.
The one that I regret removing is the West tuning map, it was a great map, but foolishly I wiped it, in the crusade for hopeful further power. The 1sr Eurocharged map, was OK, but left me with a dead/slow response on acceleration and not sure I had the same feel for the car as it was with the West Tuning map. The 2nd EC map by EC UK, cured the throttle response, and the car feels strong, but throws a code up now and then, which is a little annoying but it does not pull the power, so have been living with it, this said, weirdly since having the killer chiller fitted, this code has not reappeared to date, not real sure the reason for this, but we will see.
My own car, should it need remapping, will be returned back to West tuning, given my personal falling out with one part of EC UK outfit, but in fairness, they and Acid at MSL are both very knowledgeable and focussed on these M113 cars, think they are far better value than DMS in my own opinion, both will help you in your quest for more power.

Best of luck:thumb:

the quote was over a grand, for a remap alone that is way too much. I mean Im sure the map is just the same for all the cars, but a grand for just a map.... its gotta be pure gold for that price??

No it's not necessarily the same

DMS have plenty of experience in doing AMG cars.

On the current biturbo cars they justify a significantly higher cost by stating that they completely dismantle and reassemble the ECU without it appearing in any way to be physically altered.
