Does W202 need rear caliper piston winder?

Hi,
Wondered if anyone could advise me as to weather I will need a caliper piston winder tool for my rear caliper when I replace disk and pads. I heard the W203 model did not need one and didnt want to waste the money if not needed?

No need for anything like that,just lever the old pad between the disc with a flat screwdriver and the piston will retreat.

You may find them quite corroded. If they are, don't skimp and fit new calipers.

Have never needed to change calipers in the past, just a clean up and maybe a repaint usually if they are bad

The 202 seems to suffer badly with corroded calipers.
