Door lock pins

Never heard of the oem ones breaking, but the aftermarket chrome or carbon certainly look better.

Where do you get the carbon fibre ones? - I'm not really keen on all the chrome/aluminium trim pieces that constitute the "Sports" pack on my car.

personal choice, ebay had loads, some of the AMG ones etc got taken off the uk site but look on .com and other ones which you can still buy from

I replaced mine with the AMG aluminium ones , rears took a bit of fiddling as the bore was too big.

The genuine AMG ones look superb but are very awkward to fit on the back doors of some cars as they don't screw in like the fronts; they are a tight push fit which usually means removing the door panel to hold the mechanism from the other side

I replaced mine with OEM chrome pins (A0009940611), and aftermarket chrome base rings - I like it, but as already been said - a matter of personal choice:

genuine AMG pins never sat any good on w202 as they were to thin, they twirl themself from vibrations.
Brabus chrome pins are the best, perfect fit and sits tight without moving around!!
I use Brabus pins on my C43 and I'm very pleased with them.
Brabus best buy!!

I use a little bit of PTFE tape on the thread :thumb:

I wrapped electrical tape on my AMG doorpins to make them chunkier, they STILL did not sit properly!
I had to adjust AMG logo everytime after a drive, logo pointing somewhere else like East Germany DDR.
I never liked the AMG pins, factory has to make them a bit chunky to sit perfect
