i-pod connector

Looking around at some of these double DIN units, some with full 7" touch screens - I have two questions...

1. Will they fit into my ML (W163) where a Comand would fit
2. None of the specs mention removing the fascias for security...do they come off?

I had one of those double DIN units fitted in my car, but it didn't look too good, I'm in the process of gathering info on how to fit the COMAND to it instead.

I had a cage made for the previous unit though - send me the size of your unit, if it is the same size, I can send you a few pics of it - I'm selling it on ebay at the moment.

I've not listed it just yet, I need to take the old unit out (including all the wiring etc). - I was going to sell the entire thing together.
