Driving into London ?

Whoops. Fail.

Here's something else I learnt the other day; Westminster is so-called because the original minster (ie church) was built in the City of London. Edward the Confessor then started building what eventually became Westminster Abbey on a island on a marshy but of land way out west.

Hence the east minster (which became St Pauls) and the west minster (which became Westminster Abbey).

Interesting (or not) fact no2
There are no roads in the City of London

(Hope I’m correct there 😬😬😬)

Err....hang on....Bishopsgate, Broadgate, Old Broad St, New Broad St, Fenchurch St, Gresham St, Moorgate, London Wall, Pudding Lane, Mincing Lane, Gracechurch St, Canongate, Lombard St....I thought you might be on to something here.

Then I looked on Wikipedia - there's only 1! So close...........Goswell Road. Great Trivia question.

Ah - since 1994.
I learned that very important fact years ago! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Edit: stumped a London cabbie on that one a while back.
He had asked me how many faces Big Ben had and I got that one correct 😃😃😃

I have always found London to be interesting and exciting to visit, and a pleasure to leave.
You didn't say how many it had.

PS: FTR, in this thread google, bing, and duckduckgo are b0rked for me.

None - Big Ben is the name of the large bell (over 13 ton), which is inside the Elizabeth Tower which houses the clock.

That’s it!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
