OK up here in Ayrshire we don’t really know what a traffic jam is so today with the missus and two grand daughters in the car we were south bound on the A77 with traffic moving freely.

Approaching my first round-a-bout (Whittlets ) I’m in lane two as normal. The Jaguar XF Estate who had traveled happily behind me for the last mile suddenly moved into lane one, undertook me and one other car then moved back to lane two right on the round-a-bout.

OK he was a bit cheeky but then immediately after the round-a-bout the two lanes merge into one so he forced himself past another six cars. Now he’s got my attention. He continued for the next mile or so harassing the traffic in front continually braking then at the next round-a bout where the lanes open up to two he again carried out another undertake immediately before with a third as he exited the roundabout.

The crazy idiot then disappeared, but !

Maybe it was testosterone but another Jaguar, this time a white convertible carried out three very dubious overtakes ( behind me) on the next short stretch and pulled in behind me on lane one at the next round-a-bout. Not happy to sit and wait for one car coming from my right he overtook me, shot through in front of the poor guy, only to return back in front of me. He then overtook traffic on the cross hatch approaching the next junction.

I have dash cam and occasionally save some footage But only for my PC but with today’s events I’m tempted to put them on You Tube ( if I only knew how to LOL )

Why can’t drivers simply take some pride in their driving these days.

On my first ever driving lesson the instructor instilled into me the principles of defensive driving - I remember him saying "look at every vehicle you can see and think - what's the most idiotic thing each one could do next - and be prepared, as they will at some time do what you're thinking would be totally idiotic!!" That was 50 years ago, and it's stood me in good stead for all that time. That's also why I like to have a car (or, as now, cars) that have good power and acceleration as well as excellent brakes, so I have 2 choices of action.

I wouldn't put it on YT. He'll only admire himself and create a fan club. If you think it was exceptionally dangerous driving as opposed to being an incompetent a***hole, show it to local plod. Low key, not to bring a charge, just to get him on their radar -edit - database. You can keep your hands clean while plod does the dirty work. But you wouldn't do it to a Benz driver, would you?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a firm believer that undertaking keeps traffic flowing, I’ve driven in the US quite a lot and it works there but in this case it was within 200 yds of a round-a-bout.

It make no difference to me what car make is involved it’s the driver behind the wheel that makes “ill choices” which as has occurred many times enrages other drivers to react, sometimes with a sad ending.

I take it my stride as an advanced driver.

It's all the the drivers we have on our roads that come from countries where the driving test is either non existent or a formality.

None of those places named are countries.

nothing wrong with sticking footage online if it is legal and helps identify idiots and records their stupidity.
Also it can help vent somewhat. for example, my pet hate is motorcyclists riding in my lane and forcing me to avoid them. though this is a very mild case in the following video, it still grates me to no end that I have to be the one to take evasive measures to appease the over inflated egos of very very fragile road users...grrrrrrrr

Ironically an eastern european in a Merc a class, the old minivan one overtook me and another car and then forced oncoming traffic to stop.

Pulled next to him on next traffic light to have a word and all he kept saying was I'll get out now and show you . I just said go on then

No need, they would be on his head anyway.
Teabag!

There was a member on here who once invited me to meet him at the back of his van because I queried a ridiculous claim that he had made.

Threats of violence on an internet forum is about as gormless as you can get.

Maybe your assumption of what desired was incorrect.
Various things went on behind the bike sheds.
