I have had my C63 Coupe just over 3 months now and absolutely love it, however!, while out for my usual stress relieving blasts, i cannot stop the bloody back end from weaving about when exiting any sharp corner or roundabout.
I have tried feeding the power in gently, but usually end up with the Bill Plant learner I have just passed catch me up!
My previous car was an Audi S5 Quattro, no way near as fast as this beast but at least you could attack and exit corners ect with gusto. Dont get me wrong, I am no Lewis Hamilton, so there will be no opposite lock etc going on here.
The car does have LSD as well, which I was told would stop this, nope!
So my fellow AMG drivers whats the best way of driving this maniac car?

take off the **** tyres and lay off the gas, its not 4wd.

I attended an AMG driving day with a few friends on here.
We had the opportunity to drive an array of AMG's.
Drives were accompanied by the sales guy at the dealers.
Nice guy.

I opted for the SLS.

Off we went and made use of local roads and a nearby A road.

It was alittle wet that day so I did not attend the day in my 63 (see signature ), but he asked what I drive and I told him.

During our drive, the sales guy said "you can always tell an AMG driver"
Bemused, I asked how.

He replied, "because you are all progressive with your throttle application".
I chucked and his comment was pleasing and amusing.

He got comfy in the passenger seat and added "ahhh. I can relax now".

You see, I strongly believe that you become accustomed to driving AMG's.

I know first hand how you need to adjust your driving style when first getting behind the wheel of an AMG - and for the first couple of months until you come to know the car.

I think this is a case in point.

Have respect for the beast, young man. Or it will bite you.

This may sound a little left field but try driving with hard soled shoes for a while. No trainers, soft soled casual shoes, nothing with spongy inserts etc.
It does sound daft but an often overlooked part of driving is feel and control.
With this sort of car, you need to be able to adjust the throttle minutely and to do that it would help to have some feel through your right foot.
The throttle is not an on/off switch and you need all the feel you can get to control the car until you get used to it by the sounds of things.

That kinda makes sense to me, as my car feels alot more responsive and faster if i simply cover all of the gas pedal with my foot as opposed to just keeping my foot half way up the pedal which is what i normally do. This is perfect for lazy driving, but if i ever put my foot down and its only covering half the pedal i find the car to be far less responsive.

My thinking was that regardless of how much of the gas pedal i cover once i put my foot down, then the pedal is going down no matter what. I guess not
