E class 2006 77k £6950

Any more details? Engine? Bodystyle? Condition? Options? Link to advert?

From the price, my guess is that it's a low-spec pre-facelift (built before June 2006, mirrors "integrated" into the doors rather than sitting on "plinths"). If that's the case, it'll have the SBC brake system which is harder to do a fluid change on and will bite you for a £1k new pump at some point. Also, if it's an E220CDI, it'll be 150PS/340Nm rather than 170PS/400Nm.

E320cdi **********

Ah, the forum filter's caught you out.

That's very suspiciously cheap for a late pre-facelift, presumably V6 rather than IL6 E320CDI in top-of-the-range Avant-garde trim level. I'd be looking for reasons why: turbo/manifold problems, SBC timed out etc etc.

Of course, it's possible it's just a good bargain, but it'd be nice to have a link to the advert to help ascertain this...

Early V6s are complete pap. I had one complete disaster as did Crockers one rack up bills that would make Maserati owners weep

Avantgarde with toys? must be good value if its in good nick with genuine miles. check no oil leaking into the turbo if its V6 and everything works. worth getting it checked out by an expert with STAR before parting with readies. better to drop a few quid than be stuck with a "lemon"

Post the link OP - you'll get much more help when there's something to see.

Not sure how to post link... Go to usedcarsni type in 2006 e class max price 7000 and it will come up its the one with 77k

Chav plate and what's going on with those wheels? I'd give it a wide berth.

Advert says "Colour: black". Now those photos are seriously low quality, but I'd say that's silver. Impossible to tell much else from the description and photos, but I'd definitely approach with suspicion.

SBC was fitted to all W211/W219 until the June 2006 facelift when it was dropped and replaced with a conventional braking system.

beware valeo radiator gremlins... plenty of posts on this forum elaborate...

It's a 7g early V6. No valeo just manifolds swirl motors valve bodies and engine bearings.

It's a very early V6 and the first batch of anything is usually bad news.
