E220 CDI - Loss in engine power

Hi,

My car is an E220 CDI, 70,000 miles. A few months ago, while accelerating the engine just went off and the Malfunction -visit workshop appeared with "ESP , ABS .." alarm showing. I pulled to the side, switched the car off and then back on after a min and the car started normally and was working fine. This happened a couple of times after that, but no malfunction shows after the car is restarted and it works fine afterwards. However, yesterday while driving, I noticed a loss in power of the engine though with no alarms or warnings shown on the display. Not sure if any of you have heard or can suggest something that I can check, replace..

something is on its way out or it could be a faulty sensor issue!

id get a diagnostic check done just to be on the safe side!
for £30 its worth getting it checked over for any fault codes etc...
