E220 CDI W211 into C220 CDI W204 engine swap

Help!!

I need a replacement engine for my C220 cdi (engine code 646.811) but I'm getting a deal on an engine out of a E220 cdi (engine code 646.821). Are they the same engines? Can I swap bare engines keeping my ancillaries on C220 cdi? They seem to have the same specs and look the same.

Any advice on this?????

I have put in a couple of hours looking into the possibility of swapping these engines but have not been able to confirm anything so far. In fact other persons have posted this question but they all have no replies.......anyone out knows about this??
