I know those guys like family... they are very honest people, if there is anything wrong, they will sort it out...

It sounds like the valeo issue to me so probably needs a radiator and torque convertor..

Hard to imagine there's enough money in the car for them to do entertain doing that much work, especially as the diagnosis might not be 100%.
