e300d non start no terminal 15

can anyone help


this 1998 e300d has a mercedes aftermarket fitted alarm and it willl not live up terminal 15 it puts the srs light on the dash but that is it, i have removed the alarm but the fault is still present i can not run a diagnostics on the car as there is no ignition live, the battery is good and i have checked all the fuses and they are all ok has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem might be or to even start???

With a Star you can read the ignition switch even if you can't turn the ignition on. Was it read with a Star?

yes useing star diagnostics latest level, we shall have another look into it, are you aware of any common issues?
