Hey guys!

I've got a W210 300TD, 98. Its leaking ATF from just beside(left side) the transmission mount. Its some sort of sensor with a cable attached. And the atf leaks from between the sensor and the cable not between the transmission and the sensor.

Would some one give me the part numbers for the cable and the sensor? The dealer in my country is messed up; they dont have the part and say will need 25 days to get here!

They wouldn't even give me the name and the partnumbers... Help please!

I can't help much but it sounds simular to a small problem I had if it's the same part.
Ian at 124 works, just unplugged the connector and put it back in again and the leak stopped, thats as much as I know sorry, it was a very small leak. If it starts again I'll have it seals replaced etc etc.

Its called a piolot bushing and can be replaced. We do loads of them here.

Thanks andy for the replu.

Black c55... I am in Pakistan so the only way u can help me is by providing info about it.

What is the sensor and the cable for; what are they called? And can I fix the leakage without replacing them?

Hi

The pilot bushing is at the front right hand corner of the gearbox oil pan. (Right as depicted by sitting in car and looking forward). The OP says it is leaking beside the transmission mount which as we all know is at the rear of the gearbox just below the output flange.

Are we all chatting about the same thing??

230K is right..

its just beside on left of the trans mount facing front of the car.
