Well been having a pre Mot poke around and discovered play in o/s/f wheel bearing so nipped that up.
Also found same on n/s/f so did that.
Ever since jacking the nearside front up, strange feeling off play in steering wheel and a vibration right through drivers seat at 40mph.
Well I looked at everything up front and failed to find anything wrong?
Took n/s/f wheel off again and just by chance as I was banging on wheel brace to nip studs up before dropping the jack, I heard metallic noise and saw that top ball joint was the culprit.
Now renewed both top joints and fitted new track rod ends too just for posterity.
Tracking done and now nice to drive yet again.
I did research and thought it was engine and transmission mounts and all sorts.
Just for info in case same happens to you?
No doubt, if I hadn't have jacked her up this would not have happened just yet?
Fitted Meyle top ball joint with FAI track rod ends around £66 for parts.
