ok. i am quite satisfied with the power i get but after a while u get used to it and think maybe a bit more power wouldn't hurt, but always in my mind pops the question, would it mess up the engine the extra power? advice anyone?
thanks

Choices are remap or tuning box (high end) depends if you dont mind the remap being permanent and if the car is still under warranty. If you do then a tuning box which effectively is a second ECU is the answer same power gains but removeable without trace any time you want on the 320 CDi engine you can safely go to around 280 bhp and a neck snapping 680 Nm of torque and we have a product that will do the job nicely.

280 bhp? 620nm? thats 500lbft. Similar question to ringway is that possible on the w210 320 cdi?
Sorry don't have PM facility as I'm new.

HERE it is. At the foot of the page, (highlighted in yellow) you need to click on "Select Your Vehicle" and the performance tables are there.

I'm interested in improving the performance of my 2004 E320 CDI and want some ideas on the best way to go about it,. I'm a newbie so dont have messenger. How can I get in contact with you Flanaia1?

If Flanaia1 hasn't got back to you so far, I'm pretty sure he's linked with JAR Motorsports in Rotherham. Their Spider Chip is pretty amazing and vehicle transferable too. Gonna treat myself if I can go six weeks without needing some major mechanical fix.

Here's the link to that nifty bit of kit:

Just out of interest, didn't I read somewhere recently that Chips/ remaps are gonna void your MOT?

I'm sure if it's not already happening, they're bringing it in. I don't mean to sound like I don't know what I'm on about (which sadly is true) but I also would hate to get caught out by the Government after just dropping 500 notes on a chip.

If anyone can clear this up, I'd appreciate it too, cos anyone who hasn't improved their engine really would like to, right?

i believe this is the case - but surely you can remove it before the MOT test?
