E320 coupe with a fault....

Went to see this today, it has a fault with the gearbox as stated in the ad, but suprisingly the rest of the car is lovely!

The potential cost of the gearbox fault has sadly put me off.

It will be of interest to anyone with access to cheap recon gearboxes.

Tiny bit of rust on one rear arch, head gasket apparently done, couple of seat motors u/s but drives very tight and clearly a well loved car.

That looks lovely. I'd be interested myself but it's a long way from me. I would think the purchase price + cost of new / recon box would be quite reasonable against the value when repaired. I love these cars. I noticed the very short MOT as well but hopefully it's not going to need much attention to get it through.
