Need some help guys.

Really struggling to make a decision here.

My car comes with a factory dechromed grill. I have added a bonnet star which was a must for me. The car I presume is now as it was from factory.

I am unsure as to whether to go for a chrome grill or just keep it as it is.

Both would be OEM.

I have attached some photos to help.

I have to say I'd prefer chrome on facelift, although mine is black on FL chrome looks nicer imo.

Don't worry about the grill, its the bonnet star thats a must.

thats was what i asked for pre delivery!

now it feels like the star is asking for matching chrome!

Im starting to think the dechromed looks best in low light levels where the lightish grey plastic slats Aren't so obvious

How easy is it to change grills? If interchangeable with minimal faff then both could be sported?

Changing the grill is very easy, just a few screws to undo. You could also just change the insert to try a different look.

If it were mine I'd either black out the existing chrome strips on the grill so it was all black (maybe use plasti dip so it's easily reversible), or I'd go for the avantgarde/S600 style insert, which while aftermarket, looks much better to me. Especially with a black surround.

I think the chrome would look out of place on your car as the rest of the body has been dechromed.

Keep as is - suits the car.

Im starting to think theres something about 124's with "LNH" number plates...

Ive also seen a green M-reg 124 estate with LNH on it too around the Westfield area.

I'm sure what ever grille option you choose (except SEC style bonnet and grille)! you'll be fine.

You need to get a a private plate for this motor though! E36 RMS :)
