the ad says the car is still in Marbella.

Yes, That car has the original BRABUS exhaust but EVO-II E500 Limited wheels. The seller doesnt mention the mileage, which could suggest that its high and the fact that the car is still in Spain will make the sale hard and unattractive, unless someone wants to fly to Spaint to view it if seroius. The photos are not very good and it's hard to judge the condition of the vehicle, rust etc. Still a great car!!!! And an E500 is an E500!!!

If it is a Brabus where are the wheels, body kit, and why carn't you see the engine in the pics .
I would expect the owner of a real Brabus would list all the Brabus parts.
Could the conversion consist of an exhaust and the engine deristricted

Im not sure. Possibly at the BRABUS factory you can get a choice of which parts to add to your vehicle, and some E500's are kept purely original with just engine mods. Also the engine photo is suspect as you cannot see anything inside the bay.

Very nice ......

BUT I thought all E500's were facelift ones ...

Does that car not have the wrong grill for a facelift car??

Thats what i've been saying ...........

Thanks Shude...

What i was trying to get across was that i thought all V8 powered w124s were made post-facelift (E500), 93 onwards

I didn't realise that they also made them pre-facelift (500E).

Cheers for clearing that up.

Howard,

Sorry for not answering your question earlier. Yes, you are correct, all E500's are facelifts and this particular car is a 500E (non facelifted) with an E500 badge. You can tell by the rear and front of the vehicle. The front has the old grille and the rear has the older plastic moulding instead of chrome. The first two photos show the 500E front and rear, and the second two photos show the E500 front and rear. I hope this answers your question.

lol after all that someone has answered !
