Comand (common option) the extended leather and blinds being the only major things above standard spec?

The seller is delusional.
"in a league of it's own" - correct, way beneath lots of others.
"£120,000" new...not a chance! £70,000 tops more likely.
"high spec" - errr, no.
"top of the range" - again, wrong.
"never had an MOT advisory" - that would be interesting to check that out.
In summary, a 116,000 mile SWB S500 with a worn steering wheel which needs a vacuum pump and electrical fault sorting, has either had some bad paintwork or the camera is playing tricks and is a pretty average spec car to start with.

Car not on the Brabus register and other points to note.
It has the wrong front and rear lower bumpers
Any exhaust fitted by Brabus in 2001 would almost certainly have been replaced 13 years and 116k later (I had to replace mine)
Exhaust exits are in the wrong place
Rear lights are aftermarket specials
Brabus always change the centre badge of the steering wheel on factory cars which they have modified cosmetically.
Brabus never change the round external front and rear badges unless it is a Brabus engined car, the only exception to this is if the car has had a tuning package fitted at Brabus then they place a single chrome Brabus badge on the rear left of the boot, with customers consent.
Without seeing the engine and other parts of the car you can't say for definite it hasn't had Brabus influence but if it has its likely it was done when Brabus operated in the UK

I might have missed something but these details a for a W220 Silver S-class 500
not a CLK500
The link at the top of the thread goes to a Black Brabus CLK500, I'm happy to be corrected if I missed a separate request for info.
Also a 2001 car cannot legally display a 2003.5 "53" number plate.
So just the wrong car checked? or someone trying it on? or a lag in number plate transfers?

I'm genuinely interested in this car purley on it's looks, bit posey but I like it still.
the power output is not Brabus power pack levels it's just had a remap! 306BHP>>>340BHP

After reading post 12 I can see what the fuss is about, that supposed Brabus S-500 does look like a pig in those pictures.
Although pigs are awesome, as they convert Vegtables to Bacon over time, they are no good for transporting people

And now a dealer is trying to palm it off as a genuine Brabus.
The steering wheel is still in a right state. £6k? ... £600 more like it.
