E500 Estate Pics!

I'd consider lowering the front suspension slightly via Airmatic/STAR.

Your front sits high like mine did - it's an Airmatic thing - pic 2.

Here's mine afterwards - it's subtle but gives it a better stance (IMO).

Wow!! Cracking looking 211 there John! :)

By the way, how much is the Brabus D6 upgrade?

It was on when I bought it but I recall they are about £1500 fitted. There are some around 2nd hand now though, at much less.

Loving the pics... but when I saw 'E500' I couldn't help but search for a picture of the engine bay :p

Lovely motor, it's a keeper)

Just wondering why it has the old avantgarde wheels? The new 17 AG or 18 sports look so much better IMO but that said, the S211 is still a stunning looking car.

Thanks for all your comments chaps!

Im not au fait on wheels but I like the wheels it has, they're clean and scrape free. I noticed the link to 18" wheels but £1900 plus tyres, jeeze.........

The hight of the suspension looks fine I think. It seems to be to sit quite low and has quite an elegant stance.

It's covered in frost at the moment, ah well............

John, it looks fabulous. I've just bought an 04, with the 113 engine. I was going to look around for a facelift model etc. when a cheap one came along, and now I wish I'd waited! Mine will be a work horse though, so I am happy with it.

I have a bit of a learning curve on the airmatic suspension (and everything else!), but I notice in sport mode, it lowers its stance automatically at speed, and sits back up when slower. I believe you can raise it manually also, but I've only uesd it twice, so I'm aching for a play, and time to read the manual! Happy motoring!

The switch behind the gearlever gives you Comfort, Sport 1 and Sport 2, as well as vehicle rising (the far left button) which raises the whole vehicle if required.

You're right - it does lower at speed - all clever stuff :thumb:

John, what do the buttons control on the LHS of the gear selector

The thumbwheel sets the angle of the attack Trebuchet and the loudspeaker button, when pressed, whistles Dixie.

Don't you know anything? ;).

Don't have distronic. Actually, don't have the car back yet. Its a miserable day so not missing much. Distronic is useless for going on tour as I go where there is F all traffic

Given your extensive knowledge of all things I am surprised you didn't know:doh:

Press the speaker button and it announces where the nearest "Indian" is.

The wheel, when rolled, produces a microwave cooker from under the glove box with a burger just ready to go "Ping"

The extra convenience pack is known as "***" on the data card.

No, of course not. :D
