E55k on coilovers

Many US owners have done this, and if you check the US forums there is much discussion on this topic. Be aware that you will need a lot more parts than just the new coilovers/springs, and reprogramming of the electronics via Star, and resetting the toe-in/camber. Some owner love the conversion, others don't like the stiffer. lower ride. Here are some of the additional parts required. I don't think you will find that the coilovers just bolt in where the air struts were.

I would say with the UK roads dont go the coilover route.

One of the best things about hte w211 is the air suspension and the ability to raise when needed.

i say go the arnott route , there was a supplier in germany which sold arnott units to save all the import hassle, also arnott may not ship to uk any longer as no-one sends the old core units back.

It seems the fronts are the more difficult ones to get hold off.
