Did you have any choice when it came to specifying seats in these?

I notice in the CL, S etc. you can specify "comfort seats" but I don't recall this option in the brochure for the E?

cooling was the only other option i think as heated and dynamic were standard as far as i recall

Dynamic was an option on the CLS55

Dynamic and cooling (which I have) were options on the W215 CL.

Other options seats wise was for heated rears (which I have!)
Mine has dynamic and cooled seats in the front, obviously memory and heated functions were standard too.

You could choose one of three colours - all black (or anthracite or whatever they call it), black with burgundy or black with dark blue. I'm sure I've got the brochure somewhere!

Dynamic was an option in the W211, I have only got the standard airbag bolsters.

Anthrax isn't it? :D

I know TDE1 has the burgundy colour on his and I've seen the blue.

Mine are plain anthrax.

Yes, mine only has the bolsters - none of the dynamic / massaging business.

Pretty sure the "comfort seats" (which it sounds like you have) came standard on the E55K and the "Dynamic seats" (with the adaptive bolsters etc) was a cost option.

Mine were heated, active, Anthracite and Merlot, I have the brochure's if definitive answers are needed. Always thought it was bizarre that the active seats were not even an option on the SL......:dk:

OK, just re-looked at my price list.

Found this bit although my chassis number doesn't ring up code 401:

401 Front seats – comfort ventilated Includes heated front seats (code 873)
Only with leather or Nappa leather, seating is perforated when this option is chosen 697.87 820.00

It shows as optional for all four levels of trim including Sport.

However, mine do have the holes...

What does your info state, MOR8A?

Edit: Saying that - it also states "873 Front seats – heated Includes comfort ventilated front seats (code 401) 272.34 320.00" which mine does feature.

Will look when I'm where the brochure is. Mine was perf leather but no cooled seats, as far as I know all E55K's had perf leather, cooled or not.

all E55`s had perf heated seats, vented was an option.

Mine are ventilated front and heated but don't have the dynamic option. What does the dynamic seats actually do ? The ventilated seats don't really achieve much but do ventilate slightly I suppose. I do have the manual side bolster buttons. The car is absolutely awesome. I am considering an exhaust mod to hear that SC v8 a little more but don't want to get any drone at all. What's the best way to go to achieve this without any drone cruising around. As 90% of my driving is cruising but would like to get more v8 noise .

Think technically they're all vented, the cooling option added fans to force the air through.

Mine have the cooling button but wouldn't say it's super cooling at all.

They all came with perforated aka wear easy leather as standard. The cooling option has fans inside the seat backs that force air through.

The performance of said option is woeful at best.

Technically they aren't "cooled" they are "ventilated" and yes, they are woeful even when fully operational unless you're sat in the nude.

The cooled seats in the XFR were ridiculously cold.

Have the secondary cats and resonator removed and a x-pipe put in. I have no drone in mine although some with the same mod have noticed it.

Imran at MSL is a top man to carry out any exhaust work. If you can make the MSL Dyno day on Sun 18th Sept, Imran is doing decats etc on the day.

You can take a listen to the same mod in mine beforehand if it helps make your mind up.
