early comand radio issues ???

hi, the radio works when ever it feels like it, sometimes just like not getting any signal at all, map, nav, dvd, everything else works fine, is this a common problem ???
also the seat controls at the base of the seats dont seem to work, although one button lightd up on either east, as they hardly get used i would have thought, is there a loom problem on these ???

been told its an ntg1 model, with seperate arial amp, is it likely to be just the arial amp thats bust ????
