Thanks for letting me know. Have you had any thoughts on having all the SLKs together? We could park the SLKs on the right hand side as you enter , the rest of us to park opposite

they will not be bothered mate just coming to join in and eat. plus all coming from different places ect and prob arrive slight different times....see how they park up once arrive. it will work itself out ☺

   For those of us coming from the East we could meet up at the South Cave Services on the A63 , plan to leave there at 9.30 to get to the Waterwheel for 9.45.

5 are still on a interested list , they will confirm next week no doubt. I did doncaster to hull in a thunderstorm top down 2 weekends back. 68mph and both Windows down allows rain to go straight over the top....I always love the looks you get and the amount of xxxxxx signs you get from them.
Furthest I have driven in constant rain top down is Northampton to Cottingham. Snow is tricky as it has a habit of swirling around the cabin.....plus snowballing kids are a pain !

What happened when you stopped or slowed down? My experience is that below about 50mph it starts wetting the inside of the car.

I got caught in a storm in my SLK and was fine until I had to slowdown and then got drenched (was my motivation for buying a SmartTop)!

I now always close my roof as soon as I see rain.

if i have to stop i put top back up , don't have smart top and never been bothered by a few spots of rain on head rests now and then.

think most rain we had on us was in wales following some bikes in heavy rain as they slowed down to much.. i passed them to a speed where we did not get wet anymore . one thing you have to put in is the wind deflector .. driving in rain without is like being jet washed !!
