Hi,

I've just bought a 208. Whilst inspecting the car last week I tested the electrical seat adjustments which all worked satisfactorily.

I picked the car up today. When pushing the button forward the seat moves forward, as expected. When pushing the button rearwards the seat moves, well......it moves forward, not rearwards.

What????

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

I have a similar problem on my W220. The bottom button moves back but not forward.

Keen to hear anyone's thoughts on how it can be tested or resolved.

remove the door card and check the connector at the back of the switch - a poor connection/bad earth at this point gives these symptoms.
My passenger seat is doing it right now, can't bring myself to fix it - too funny when your kids think they're going to be crushed to death!

My switch has the memory and heated buttons.

Got in touch with the dealership for a part number they were happy to check a few other numbers I had come across for parts that looked the same. They wouldn't confirm if the numbers I had would work in my vehicle just that they were not the same as what was on their system.

My question is - if I have a switch with the same functions and buttons as my current switch will this go straight in and work?
