Engine cold, heater warm. Withcraft?

New C250. I drove 300 metres from cold, and hit solid traffic, so turned the engine off, but ignition on.

The heater got warmer. Is it magic?

I think so, but the engine was too cold for stop/start to work. And I was going to be stuck a few minutes.

I think it has two batteries, so I could always jum,p start myself, as it were

The SLK's airscarf is good for a quick blast of heat while waiting for the engine to warm up.Just as well, because the heated seats are sooo slow.
