Re-thinking this, maybe not. IF the engine oil was over filled then maybe some oil escaped through the breather into the intake.

It would have been interesting to see the intake before the turbo.

My thoughts also.

As someone has already posted, and on the Honest John site.............

"Other build quality niggles include faulty turbo oil seals on diesels"

So possibly it was going to happen anyway & not the garages fault?

Very true. The main thing is that you are getting the car repaired which is more important than how the fault occurred.
