Is there any complications in putting an engine and gearbox from a LHD 450 107SL into a RHD 350 SL?
I have a worn out engine in my 350 and have the chance of a cheapish LHD 450 which has a good engine but body wise has had it.
Any advice appreciated.

On a simple (read: not infested with computers) car such as this I can't see any reason why what you propose won't work. Check the diff and gearbox ratios and be prepared to swap in either or both from the donor car if different from the 350.
Unless someone more knowledgeable appears to tell you not to, I say do it.

There will almost certainly be challenges with a transplant like this, but I would think the main one would be electrical. Someone else may see this and help further.
