Engine warning light / trouble starting engine

Hi....

Last night, I had trouble starting my CLK320. The engine was turning over, but it just wouldn't kick in fully. After 3 or 4 attempts it finally started. Then the "check engine light" came on and now stays on.

Is there something I can do to fix this issue or do I have to take it to the garage.

You need to get a diagnostic test done on it to find out what the problem is as it could be a few things causing this and you don't want to be peeing against the wind trying to work out exactly what it is that's doing this.
