Engineering mode 04 CL500

I am trying to enter the engineering menu on my command aps
in my 04 Reg CL500

When i select Mute-Serv-Phone/end the TMC icon comes up the unit beeps and nothing happens.

Any one have any ideas ?

Needs to be done with an OBD port attached device such as an enabling box or mercedes diagnostic.
