Hi Guys,

Had a nightmare today, cut along story short I was at work in London and got a call from the wife saying the car horn was blowing and she couldn't turn it off.

When I arrived home 2 hours later with the neighbours going crazy i put the key in the ignition and found the car showing ESP fault and steptronic fault.

I turned the engine over and then try to shut the car down but even with the key removed the engine kept running!

Bear in mind the car hadn't be driven a lot lately.

My most pressing question is what and where is the horn fuse situated, I have no fuse diagram to check and really need to make sure the horn don't just start going off while I'm away.

Once I get some time I'll drop it into the garage to get it checked over.

Could well be battery voltage low.

Yeah I wondered that, the batts are both only 1 year old, could water Ingress do it, my fog lamp is cracked.

Anything that causes a short circuit will drain the battery.

Just an update, the dashboard lights go crazy key won't turn in the ignition, clicking noice from boot fuse board, fault ESP and various others.

It's like a mayor problem with the electrics , as mentioned I have a smashed fog light, could water ingress to causing this???

Isolate by disconnecting it,if battery supply voltage is low strange things happen.

Disconnected the neutral for a few hours, all seems back to normal now, except horn don't work, any idea where the fuse is on 2006 EClass ?
