I've been having a look the options and packages offered.
But I'm stumped to see how a pulley warrants a over £2200 over the other package?
How much better can it be ?
Anyone had it done ?
Is it worth the money?
My searches on here were not helpful as mainly for other cars and not many if any about the c63
Secondly cats
A lot of posts mention catless cat removed etc so are they always removed or are cats reinstalled for mots?
I mean all not just secondary I'm looking at headers with and without
I do have other questions but I'm going to stick to looking them up first lol

Not many has changed their pulleys for C63. Not much difference in terms of performance.

Regarding cats, if you fit Long tube headers, then you will automatically remove all cats. You have the option of adding sports cell cats to the headers downpipe to enable emissions passing. Some adds them on only when due for MOT.

Those who has original headers, there are 3 options:

1) Miltek Primary High flow cats with bypass pipe for secondary cats (or other brands.)

2) Some do away with just secondary cats to improve sound and a bit of flow.

3) Some rather not risk MOT testers failing as C63 has 4 cats originally, so they remove the secondary cats, drill or cut out a panel hole, core out the guts and then reseal and reinstalled, hence the catless cat.

Hope this helps.

Trying to get my head round this, but can't see what pulleys you'd be changing on a N/A engine? :dk:

I can understand it with a supercharger as, in effect, you're altering the gearing to make it force more air in, though on a stock engine there's no benefit. At least in my eyes...

As for the cats, secondary removal is a very common mod and should make no difference to an MOT test. If you were to run a set of long tube headers without any cats you may run into issues, though most run these with secondary cats in place so again, shouldn't be a problem.

The pulley is a very good mod I have one for sale if u want only £1500 @mates rate .
You'll gain at least 100hp !lol

the reason i ask is it was on a recommended tuners site as part of a package and i cant see the benefit of paying over 2200 for a pulley when that seems to be the only difference between the packs whcih hence prompted the question.

I think its a lighter crank pulley Dave. Maybe the weight saving helps in some way:dk: £2k+ is a lot if there are no real gains though.

Looking on the Eurocharged UK website the only reference to the crank pulley is alongside the Weistec Supercharger all part of their Stage 5 upgrade

If I remember rightly it's a weight saving mod...it's actually a bit smaller so runs all auxiliaries slower so less air con.
Can't think of anyo e that has one, if I remember rightly it's supposedly better balanced too so there was some spin saying it would allow the engine to rev quicker.......yeah whatever.
