Eurocharged

Matt, I knew some of your EC story, but suspect not all, you were very patient, and were treated appallingly, I know you valued that car for your own reasons, but think you have now moved on, good for you, look forward to catching up soon mate and better times to look forward too:thumb:.

Regards EC, I have been party to a couple of further non merc stories supplied to me this this week, I know quiet a lot of these stories now, but am still taken aback by the latest updates, it is just endless, wondering to what stories we do not know. Whilst I admit to regularly posting up about this sorry tale and posting up the terrible experience for a good few people, here and else where, moreso stories I knew 1st hand, and to the ongoing stories not my own, but from others, either openly telling me their stories, or discreetly, privately their story to which I cannot openly tell, perhaps it should now be folded, and put to bed, theres no point in pursuing this story, it will not get better, and no recovery of monies or materials will be made. I have no sorry feelings for the two directors of EC Watford who created all this mess, even given the circumstances that are known, they judged their actions with no morals applied, my feelings go to the guys who suffered big or even minor monetary loses. All the best to the individuals who are detrimetally effected with and by this closure of this company. Really too close to home sorry tale.

Well my sorry tale is an epic one
Jan 2016 i agreed a price to convert my c63 to a black series and was told 4 week job all parts avail or max 7 days
Well 12 months later car not finished and missing **** load of parts incl an x pipe which i assume is now sitting on someone elses car
Thank god the owner of the bodyshop doing the conversion is a honest stand up guy
He said he would finish the car as far as he could and Acid at Msl has agreed to do the rest
I was consistently lied to about progress of the works and parts status and estimate i will be approx 6k out of pocket to complete my car
My hunch is that all parts stored at Ec have now been sold on as the workshop has also been striiped i believe incl all my orig parts and this amounts to theft
Paul has his troubles yes but both Andy and Paul are directors and the big question is where is everyones parts and money
I have tried without success since 23 jan to speak with Paul and Andy feigns ignorance and as a limited company my guess is the accounts will show a 100gbp balance
On a personal level i hope Paul makes a full recovery but i also on another level there has been deceipt and taking of peoples money knowing work would never be completed
And i will pursue recovery of my monies by whatever means necessary and i do mean whatever means
The way the company folded was a disgrace YES Paul was seriously ill but Andy showed a complete lack of backbone and character as they had a duty to refund monies and parts or complete work paid for Andy just walked away .
I was lucky to get my car out without other bits removed
All in all a sorry story of lies and lack of morals

It still amazes me how company directors can get away with this...!

I can't help but think as a forum, it would help others if people posted their issues (facts not speculation) as it happens with these type of things. Leaving it for a year or so, or until it comes to a head can be too late to help others.

The number of new C63 owners who were directed straight to get a remap and LSD is a bit shameful if people knew issues were happening.

The forum should be for the good of the members, not advertisers.

And I don't think this type of bad service is exclusive to Eurocharged.

Very sad and bad situation for those effected. I really do hope there will be a good outcome from all of this and people get their monies and parts back. No petrol head should go through this.

Wow, I got off lightly then with only a set of OEM downpipes missing. :(

I hope you can get some solution, but having been in a similar position a long long time ago with a motorbike with RRT in north London, I fear that it may not go your way.

It's one sided to only ever allow endorsements or praise of a supplier.

Either you allow praise and criticism, or nothing at all.

the veil of incorporation doesn't protect company officers in the event of criminal offences. I think it would be worth applying for judgement against the directors of the company for theft and then pursuing them personally. Accepting money in exchange for services with no intention to supply them in this way is fraud, combined by permanently depriving you of your lawfully owned property would be classed as theft. It doesn't cost as much to do this as you think, and you can represent yourself at court. If they don't show up to argue the case then you may get judgement by default.

All IMO and normal caveats about not being a lawyer etc. etc.

Given the amount of people involved in this sorry saga, I find that info very interesting:o I know of one party who knocked on the door or one of the directors, regards his losses.:o

As others have already posted, this forum primarily does not raise the down side of the things that go wrong within the modding and running that goes on here, perhaps firing a warning shot to future like minded others, and quite frankly I have been a culprit in my early time regards this type of silence regrettably, I just never went back to them, it was minor standard of work thing, they are well respected, my choice to stay silent and went else where, and continue to use that same company. But I do recall the Chris A's issue with his CLS, which was created by EC Watford's negligence/accident with his car and subsequent following actions to repairing the subsequent damaged parts, no holds were barred within that well posted issue, and perhaps a first of inflammatory nature. This does lead me to ponder, that garages/tuners whom work on our and others cars, should things go wrong, tuning, modding or general servicing, and have their so called good name ruined over one or more negative posts with a forum be this one, or another, they live on a knife edge, this said you would like to think a decent company would be bending over backwards to resolve any such reasonable complaints or issues with a client to avoid such publicity, and keep the goodwill of the client, which I am absolutely sure the majority do to keep their business alive. Something EC Watford failed to do big time.:(

Just a suggestion for any parties impacted and out financially , if you paid for part of the service/goods (even if only a small
Amount) on your credit card have you looked at submitting a s75 claim through your credit card provider ?

Shame, they were good when I went when my charge cooler went pop.

I have done this with Barclaycard but they are sitting on it - do not think you can get your money back easily... even after providing all the evidence.

you will have to push tbh the amount the credit card co are going to take a hit on this company is huge..my personal one is likely to exceed 6k

well totally shocked at this... knew Andy before joining up with Paul.... I know he had some personal problems of the last year BUT again that's no excuse for what has occurred here. I was much happier with Andy's work on my car before he became Euro-charged; bent over backwards for me especially when I Initially bought my car and couldn't fault him.... this changed when I used Euro charged... i found communication was a problem and things took too long to get done....but not enough to discourage me...again like others in this post; every time I went to the workshop it was packed out and thought things were going great...anyway hope you guys get it sorted.

Very surprised hearing of all these things / stories coming out and was wondering if anyone ever contacted the US HQ? If so and they knew about it they should have sorted this out.

Its just a franchise so us prob dont give a rats ****
