Guys

I recently had an issue of VERY violent "kangarooing" when I floored it, this caused an error code to be logged "Exhaust backpressure sensor ..............too low".

I had the can in at the local Indy today, they said the exhaust back pressure sensor is in the top of the turbo.

As you can see in the pic below, I dont think that mine is there :-) unless it should be and it goes where the silver cap is.

can anyone help?

Thanks

steve

I've checked that the vanes money freely and the actuator seems OK. Hence my original question do you know where the back pressure sensor is

yeah looks like it. I only got the back pressure sensor fault on mine with no issues with the turbo actuator so hopefully just a bit of crap dislodged when I floored it an blocked the Ex. B/P sensor, it looks like the fault on the other forum was pressure too high, mine was pressure too low, maybe sticky vanes, then the bit came off and blocked the Ex. B/P sensor.

anyone know the correct values using icarsoft for exhaust back pressure ? on the om642 engine .

i can confirm part number a0091535028 should see around 981 mbar at tick over , my sensor was telling me 4454 mbar and making the car go into limp mode and kangerooing. £49 sorted . thank the lord . !!!! no turbo needed.

I meassured my backpressure at the same point where the sensor sits-0,15 bar with a calibrated manometer. my "faulty sensor said 3800 mbar(almost 4 bars) I,ll check again with my new sensor, i have removed my DPF...
