Experience of Tata 4x4

My father in law is sat next to me:

BD: Why did you buy that TATA?
FIL: A good friend ran a dealership and was really, really struggling and so it was a nice thing to do.
BD: How long did you have it?
FIL: 4 years
BD: Why did you get rid of it?
FIL: It was rubbish. Either broken or scared it would break.

This was a few years ago to be fair to TATA though.

this could be a conversation about a TVR Tuscan.

I drive a TATA when i go to India, honestly i wouldn't even dream of driving one in the UK.

The interior is basic, pre 1970s UK standard, it handles like a boat, has a steering wheel that would feel at home in a bus, uncomfortable seats and a engine that makes our local busses sound refined.

The UK model may be slightly better, but i would rather use public transport!

Kia Sorento + Magentis were hammered by NCAP for 0-stars pedestrian rating. They were appalled how a manufacturer could still sell vehicles like this.

i thought the last 124's were assembled in the tata factory. did their build quality decline?

Ahem.

"Utes" is the right term. ;-)

Right I'm going to go back and spell check all of your posts :p

Edit - Bored of that, just read the last 50 posts Scott, your spelling is excellent :D Bah - foiled !!!
