Facelift mirrors on SLK.

Is this a resonable mod considering the price of the new parts?
I have a 98 SLK and was wondering if fitting the mirrors with integrated indicators was reasonable for the cost. Anyone done this?

Brand new the parts are very expensive, like about £300 per mirror. If you can get away with just changing the outer shells they are still expensive. You should be able to get some reasonably priced second hand items from MBenzNL on this forum.

If new ones are £300 maybe even 'reasonably priced' ones may be too much to make it a sensible mod.

I looked into changing my sl mirrors to the intergrated flashers and also found it v expensive. However I got a pair of SLK shells with the indicators from my local breakers for £100 which had a little bit of damage. I ended up selling them to one of the members here as the base plates did not match up. So try your scrappy you never know.
