Fan Control Relay

Does anyone know what one of these looks like or have an old one they could send to me. I think mine is buggered so am thinking of getting mine tested / repaired if possible. I'm guessing its just a component failure within the relay so it should be fixable.

Are the relays different for each model?

Is it possible to drive the car without the relay in place?(Currently, the fan on the passenger side doesn't spin and the one on the drivers side seems to work when engine is revved (I've got a 96 C36 AMG for info)

I know these things are quite expensive so if I can get it fixed, I may be able to offer a similar service to others here...

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Alan

cost £105 all in no fault code on obc but fail due to water on relay known fault not woth repairing 10 mins to change give mbz main agent chassis number and they will do a stock check at milton k re when in nb so many fail can be on back order from germany do youget a low coolant light ??? some times this shows up not always
keep revs down if fan not working
relay is under l h s front wheel arch and is metal about 4 inch by 5 inch and has one electrical connector on it about 10 wires
just change it cheaper than a re build on engine
