Favourite wheels

I was rather partial to the Wolfrace Mantis wheels on my Calibra back in the day. They're still on it........

I loved this car, I had mine taken up to 300b by Chris Courtenay, fastest car I have ever driven, 168 mph, they are/were so slippery, but mine had compomotive wheels with eagle tyres. But those slender wheels look right for the car.

I’d live to buy an original Courtenay or Blydenstein car.

I think my all time favourite wheels I’ve had was the Ronal 51’s on my old Vito

I still have them and really fancy popping them on my current van. BUT they’re 18’s and no commercial tyres available in that size. Just extra load that’s on them just now.
I love the windswept look, but it only appears on one side of the car, which is why I prefer symmetrical wheels.

And I’d like to have mine back. We had two at one time, my Calibra and my wife’s Cavalier turbo , Chris’s ex project car.
The trademark 16 inchCourgenay wheels - Speedline Alessio - were an stunning wheel, and easily one of my favourites of all time.

I had a 16" set of those on the first car I ever bought with my "own" money, a 1.4 MK3 Astra Merit. I paid 200 quid for them from a bloke down the pub ......................

Another fave… probably my age/generation

So which are your favourites?

Early/mid-noughties to early/mid-teens is my favourite era for cars, and so unsurprisingly my factory rite wheels are for that era.

Which are you favourite wheels?

Had to buy a set of standard wheels for my W124 230e. Wearing 35 profile tyres and hitting a pothole is an unpleasant experience, so these are coming off.

That's a shame, they look great.
Potholes have won then. 🙁

Unfortunately yes, nearside front has a crack about 10mm long. However there is a wheel welder less than 2 miles from me.
