Ferrari limo??? WTF

Utterly ridiculous and HORRIBLE

Those Gull wing doors are terrible and the seating for 8 is very cramped too.

I believe there's a lawsuit pending, as Ferrari want their name and badges to be removed from the car and promotional material.

"It stopped the whole of Wilmslow"

Recently i have also seen a range rover limo and a porsche cayenne limo! I dont understand why people are making these....i think they are custom built and are not actually official so to speak as the car manufacturers dont really approve and no permission has been obtained, as can be seen with the ferrari lawsuit....

Much, much worse than the poxy stretched Hummers that always seems to be full of inebriated 15 year olds.

Crass & vulgar springs to mind but I think "Abomination" covers it. I really hope Ferrari take them out.

I'd agree about crass & vulgar, but I'd prefer of Ferrari lost. It would set a precedent thar could prevent you putting the unapproved valve caps on your car...

I'm with Colin. This isn't to my taste at all, and as a car lover it seems like a pointless thing to do to a perfectly good Ferrari, but hey - it's his money, and his car. What's it to do with them?

However, I'd be happy to rock up at a circuit in my 15 year old Fiat Panda and see who can do a lap quickest :D. I bet that thing drives like a pig..

Cheers,

What it has got to do with them is Trade Mark Infringement and makers liabilty.

"When a vehicle is manufactured by Ferrari, it is manufactured to the highest quality and safety standards that are expected of a premium luxury brand with an unparalleled history in producing some of the finest and most evocative cars on the road, not only today, but for the past 60 years of the company's history.

"When a car is subsequently and substantially modified beyond its original design, Ferrari no longer considers such a modified vehicle to be a Ferrari.

"In such cases where the fundamental vehicle structure has been heavily modified beyond its original design, Ferrari will take the required steps to protect the heritage of the brand and the integrity of our products."

But it is also about distancing themselves from any risk of being dragged into a civil liabilty claim should this vile thing have a shunt and write off or injure somebody, Oh and look at this:

What a surprise

Ha !

The picture of it going round the corner in the Ebay advert !!

You'd need a chart to plot a heading round anything other than a sweeping bend ... :D

What a surprise

Good for them. If he bought the car originally from Maranello, read all the terms and conditions, and signed a legally binding contract to that effect, they can sue his **** off..

What chance that.. or do the original T+C's get rolled down to subsequent purchasers? I've never bought a Ferrari, I must admit ;)

Wasn't this something to do with someone Kikkthekat (Ray) knows?

Yes I do know Dan Cawley who owns it. It actually went into Marranello's for a safety check when it was completed and they OK'd it. They even helped with a suspension upgrade for the additional weight. Ferrari themselves however have taken a dim view of it. Dan's original thought was "It's my car car I can do what I like with it" but he wont risk a court case against Ferrari's money.
It actually started as a drink fuelled joke when he was going through a divorce and his wife insisted on half of everything. He took it to Carbonyte who did all the carbon fibre work and they made him make the first cut before they would touch it.

Oh and his next project was to be a 6 wheel, 6 seat Lamborghini Mercielargo that I've seen the drawings for but I'm not sure he still has the bottle for it now.
