I got the car in December, not really had the weather or light to do much until the last couple of weeks. So I spent 7 hours last Saturday cleaning and polishing. The stuff and routine I used was as follows,
1. Sprayed the wheels with neat G101 and rinsed off.
2. Sprayed the paintwork with G101 mixed at 10:1 and rinsed.
3. Washed the car.
4. Sprayed the lower body and wheels with IronX then rinsed.
5. Sprayed the lower body and wheels with TarX then rinsed.
6. Clayed all the paintwork.
7. Washed again.
8. Polished the paintwork.
9. Applied Prima Amigo glaze/sealant to fill swirls.
10. Waxed with AG HD wax.
This picture from run round the dales last week.
Then yesterday I washed then painted the soft top with Renovo, it was in good condition but a little faded. I was so impressed with the Prima Amigo that I bought a bottle of Prima Banana gloss. This is like a top up wax that can be layered and very easy to apply, just wipe on then wipe off after washing. I did this yesterday after doing the soft top and washing.
The wheels need a refurb as the lacquer is lifting but not sure how to fit this in yet. It may need to wait until I put the winters on at the end of the year.
