First impressions of the Weistec / MSL C63 Monster

Sounds like a fire cracker, interesting mod this, I can see why you have done it but it would ruin the car for me.

Just take it easy, I have run cars in excess of 700bhp but 4x4, 600 at the rear will happily put you in a ditch if you make a simple mistake.

My GTR-35 tried to Kill me at every opportunity it got and that was "Only" 575 /600 bhp in a big heavy 4x4 so you take care Lee !!!

foot fun

Or I could always be a boring old git and take my E200 diesel out...

One for fun, one for day to day use : )

Go and see a physiotherapist. For £40 they will be able recommend some ankle exercises for you.

Yep Acid should set up a consulting business to teach main 'stealers' the art of customer service...:D

Hope you get the dyno results your hoping for pal:thumb:

Just thought I would put a quick update on as I have managed to rack up probably another 100 miles today……basically playing in the car.
On cold start it really barks into life now. I had the Eurocharged V4 map on prior to the Supercharger and I was impressed with the cold start and cracks and bangs you could get with just the standard exhaust. However, this is a much more aggressive sound and snap to the exhaust.
It was still damp and wet and pulling away like I am used to doing ended up with wheels pin and the traction cutting in.
It really does require a change in driving style due to the Torque increase.
In the wet it has to be in C for normal driving as when it kicks down early in S it just spins and the traction cuts in which can be a bit annoying. However in C it pulls hard and steady with careful right foot management.
One thing I think is different is the steering feels heavier once on the move, To install the Supercharger requires the power steering pump re-locating and I think it gets a smaller pulley so this would explain the heavier steering. To be fair it feels better being a little heavier.
Out of interest I sat at a steady 70mph and popped it into S and floored it, the traction flashed up and held the car back until it gripped then it just pulled hard right up to the red line and shifted up which caused a load more wheel spin and the traction control stepped in again. At that point I decided no more S when its damp and wet.
The thing I love about it is the way you can just squeeze the power on in C and without kickdown it just pulls lovely from any RPM and you feel yourself pushed back hard in the seat.
Kicking round the town you would not know it had anything special done apart from a nice whine from the supercharger at low RPM (which must just be masked from the exhaust note at Higher RPM).
Just thought I would give a little update being as honest as possible, so any one interested in going down this route can have an idea of what to expect
Its on the Dyno tomorrow so I will post up the results.
I have had a few phone calls from Acid over the last couple of days just making sure I am happy with everything and there are no issues……what a top guy, customer service like that is why I will happily drive to Birmingham from Newcastle if anything needs doing on the car in the future…….
So to sum up so far……am I happy, did I make the right decision……… I am 100% happy I made the decision now all I need is for a dry day!!!!

Just another quick update.
Unable to get the Car on the Dyno today…..the guys phone just kept ringing where it was booked in. A few other Garages in the Area with rolling roads said they could not do anything with more than 600bhp ha ha.
Anyway, I could possibly have it booked in on the 28Th (fingers crossed) with a short drive down to Middlesbrough.
The weather is still shocking so no way of getting any traction in 1st 2nd and 3rd (but that’s normal for a standard C63). So can’t say anything really on performance that I have not already stated.
However, I did notice that kicking round the town (Driving like Miss daisy) the MPG has gone up from 16mpg to 19mpg????......So there you have it the Weistec Conversion is actually environmentally friendly J
Hope you all have a good Christmas

Xmas shopping?

Whilst it's not impossible due to the additional torque allowing higher gears to be used, if that is the reading off the OBD, it's probably wrong now.

Well finally a dry day so I had an opportunity this morning to see what it can do.
From a standstill in S even before the Supercharger the car struggled to get grip. However now it is just impossible and requires a bit of careful feathering of the throttle. Once in 2nd there are still a few flickers of the traction light and again as it drops into 3rd. Acceleration wise I actually think its similar to a 1000cc bike, the rpm needle just flicks round to the red line and then another surge of power as you are pinned back in the seat, the noise from the exhaust as it changes up is insane as it cracks and pops (standard exhaust)
Ironically and you probably think I am mad but I prefer it in C it just seems to pull hard and gets there on a wave of Torque with less fuss then when in S and its banging and screaming…..Think I will class S as just hooligan mode.
I reckon I have clocked up roughly 500 miles now and everything is running sweet.
The only negative I have on the whole install is the engine cover will need some modifying in order to fit it, as the supercharger pulley sits proud……just begrudge cutting carbon fibre J
And I am fairly sure the rear tyres lifespan could quite possibly be effected with this mod

The next Vmax is calling very very loudly :thumb:.
