A few photos of my trip to the Nurburgring yesterday.
A quick stop on the way through the Eifel - after checking that my car's 250 km/h speed limiter had indeed been removed, I was running early!
Arrived at the Nurburgring at abou 8:30. Took me a while to find the right way in
Soon had my car stickered up (number 4) and had a L plate on the back - I suppose that's German for rookie
I missed the drivers' briefing, but was in time for the guided laps (following a porsche GT3 to learn the lines), with my instructor in the passenger seat telling me to turn in later, and get on the power earlier.
Anyway, was a fantastic day: spent a lot of money on petrol:
(40 litres per kilometer is about 6mpg if I calculate correctly)...learned a lot and decided that I really need some semi slick tyres for next time
