Fitting a 06-09 bonnet and bumper to 02-05 w211 e class

Hi guys I'm just thinking to do a some kind of upgrade fitting a bonnet and bumper from w211 06-09 e class to 02-05 w211. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Can't see the point in wasting the money myself. The difference is so subtle and I don't think it adds anything to the look, personal taste of course.
It's your motor at the end of the day but please don't spray it metallic purple add chrome spinners and put fury dice on the mirror OK

The bonnets are the same, only grille and bumper change.

Alps has also done a full facelift conversion.

I've done it too. As has been said the bonnet is the same just the grille is changed. Also, apart from the bumper skin you need all the interior mouldings and foam packers to go with the facelift cos they are different from the pre-f. If you get secondhand make sure the thing is complete. You will need the chrome foglight surrounds and well as the fogs and lower grilles and (oddly) the most expensive part is the numberplate mount which is a different profile and costs the best part of £50.00 iirc. Having done it I'm well pleased with the look. I think it's sharper and more aggresive at the front.

+1 ^^ as above, you need grill and complete bumper, plenty breaking, but make sure its complete as all the bits add up!

also parking sensors from pre faelift wont fit the facelift bumper, you will need some additional brackets, do a search on my posts the part numbers are there somewhere.

much sharper look which does modernise the w211.

Also agree with DRUK, number plate mount was expensive, about £65 for the AMG variant!

Sorry for the late reply. Been a bit busy lately.

The bumper skin off ebay, the rest from main dealer. Fitted it myself with local bodyshop doing the paint. Cost quite a lot but no details sorry, and no before pics cos I never thought, but just a standard front.
Got a scruffy sport rear lower skirt as well from Cannock Bumpers and tidied it up before painting. The twin pipes are dummies made from chrome trims cut down and welded to a bracket bolted to the towbar fixings. Also W212 wheels.
A bit different but that's me all over. Can't resist messing with things.

Bought the bumper from a local breaker grill from eBay fog lights as well and going to buy some grill aluminium mesh off eBay or from halfords to make a bumper grills myself. Bit worrying about the bumper is it going straight on or it will give me a headache with fitting it on?

It's a straightforward swap bolt for bolt. Why bother messing with ally mesh? The grilles are the cheapest part of the whole thing.
