I'm going to fit a Sat Nav + radio to my SLK32. I'm told my Merc CD changer wont plug into the new head unit so I need to get a cable from inside the cab to the boot... where is the best place to feed it through please....also, I need to get the antenna lead for the GPS from the inside of the car into the somewhere under the bonnet... Has anyone got any nice simple pictures / diagrams/ instructions that show me how to route these cables please.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,

First off, welcome to the club! :)

You could try here:

it's all in german so unless you speak the lingo you can pass the page and articles through a translator such as babelfish http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn

Here's an article with piccys for routing a cable through to the boot (again in german): http://mbslk.de/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=51

I wasn't brave enough to fit my changer and had a stealer do it. Fortunately they hugely underestimated the time it would take but honoured their quote :D

cheers,
si

btw: got any piccies of your slk32 for the gallery?

Thanks Simon

.... for the welcome and for the pointer to the German web site... Looks complicated on first glance but I'll have a more detailed look next weekend when I'll (at least) start the installation.
The car is away for most of next week having work done on the engine or gear box, we're not sure which is the problem at the moment but I'll try posting a picture or two when I get it back.
Cheers
Bill
