My headlight wipers looked a bit dull. Removed them for a quick respray and noticed quite a bit of surface rust underneath. Ended up completely stripping them down to bare metal and building up with primer/base coat/clear coat and cleaned up all the plastic bits.

From a few meters distance you won’t see the difference but up close looks better. Also replaced the fastening nuts as they gone rusty

(new ones came in a bag of 50 and have 48 spare if anyone needs them thanks to RS components)

I know quite a few people remove the headlight wipers to make the car look sleeker but I like them.

I think they are neat, not sure how efficient they are but I do remember seeing them for the first time as a younger man and thinking WoW ! thats brilliant !

Were the early ones brushes ? Or was that (yet again) something I dreamt or made up ?? Rolls Royce ? 🤔 ?
