Flash Car Wash

bought one of these yesterday and im very impressed with it, my car is silver so it doesnt streak badly anyway, but it is a great idea all the same.

I have not got one of these Flash things but the thing that attracted me is the water filter. The problem with rinsing a car is any water will produce a water mark as any disolved solids in the water are left once the water has gone. By filtering the water you remove all the disolved solids so you can then rinse the car and let it air dry with no risk of marks.

Meguiars NXT has water softners in the shampoo to reduce water marks.

The Flash car wash, well I am sure there are cheaper more effective shampoo.

Do you have to buy a new cartridge or could you fill up the system with your own product?

PS Should we not move this thread to BodyWork???

I do mine every time it rains, it comes filtred from the sky and dries when I drive the car. Lifes too short to bother about what the car looks like, does it really matter at the end of the day ?

Speak for yourself!!. Many people take pride in there cars.Quite a few in this club.

I think it does matter.
I have just spent all day washing, polishing and waxing my car and it'll be going in for the warranty paintwork soon as well (I hope)

I took my family out for a nice drive in the country in my dirty car (until it rains) :D

I've stopped washing my car by hand becuase with a 2 yr old and an 8 yr old, both boys, it always turns in to a nightmare - have to say though that this Flash thing looks good albeit an old product from the states re-badged.

Thanks god got £5 hand jobs :p

Clean car piccies.
Used the Flash system, then G10 compound, then NXT wax. :bannana:

Yes this is a handy trick I also picked up. Problem is you dont see the results of your efforts until its dry and by then my car has done a few hundred miles and is dirty again.

No mate.
G10 liquid is very fine.
Probably finer than T-cut.
As you can see from the pics, it has a good shine.

As for rain and blow dry - as per Glideman -yes it does matter. Why else would I be out there at 7.00am on a saturday morning washing etc. A very rewarding me time. :D

I'd sooner have a lie in, each to his or her own I suppose :) They all end up in the scrap yard at the end of the day though.
