Could the folding mirrors button be wired to the gearbox so they fold in as soon as the gear stick is put in park?

An interesting concept ;) . Although I would feel happier if it was done via the electric aerial. That way they would fold when you turn off the ignition, Hmm another thought, why not wired to the ignition?

But would you want them automatically unfolding when you turned the ignition on? I'm thinking if you were in a tight space like I have to go in and unfold the mirrors when I'm clear

Cheers
Andy

I think it would be a real improvement if they folded automatically on ignition off, or when park is selected.
The Number of times I forget to fold them...it is really annoying (on the 203)

If I was parking in the street and I wanted to see if any cars were driving past before I open my door then folding would be of little benefit. In a parking station or at home in the garage it makes a lot more sense.

Turning my head works for me. :D

the point is, if the folding operation could be included in the controls, it would always be possible to manually select non fold if you found it to be of annoyance.
The folding mirrors are a real "bolt on" extra which is not intergrated into the vehicles controls.
I find this a bad point on the 203.
