I've tried searching on the forum but so far am just getting more confused..... I've got a 98 - S W208 CLK 320 with dial heater and all the heating and cooling work fine however there doesn't appear to be any heating or cooling going into the footwell ducts..

Please help... I'm afraid if i drive to far my feet will get frost bite :-)

May sound bizare but are you sure you have it on the right setting also maybe the pollen filter needs changing because it could be clogged

My 2002 C220 had rubbish heat flow into the footwells, it was worse driver-side. Passenger-side was generally ok

Tried re-syncing the system, not sure how it is done on a clk but on my w203 you do it by holding down the defrost and recirculate buttons until their lights flash, the system will go though a cycle and then normalise.

I had to do this just the other day when no air was coming through the middl vent and it sorted itself out.

Stop fiddling with the air flow direction buttons! ;)

I'm sure i have it on the right setting :-) thanks for the thought though. I'll try the pollen filter and see if that makes any difference.

Diesleman - Where is the vacuum element and what does it do?

Does anyone know how to resync the system in a W208 with dial heater? i.e. NO climate control.
