Formula 1 2025

Hmm… Lando’s body language in the media pit suggests (to me anyway) that he has been ‘screwed over’ by the team somehow and isn’t allowed or is too professional to talk about it. To be that far away from Piastri in Q3 is a head-scratcher.

I’m not sure about any wrongdoings. But he needs to become more headstrong. Doesn’t bode well for your rivals to see such a downtrodden demeanour in public view. Something the majority of the great sportspeople never do.

Whilst George shone in qualifying, Lando and Lewis laboured at the Sakhir circuit (!) ....or were to conservative :dk:

Sprint qualy was worth watching last night and ended up with a teenager on pole:eek: First ever visit to the circuit too!
Best we ask him now how he did it while he still knows everything....
I liked Crofty's " From Rookie error to the Rookie era" Just my sort of language! Well done Kimi😁

Yes a pretty good session. Interesting that now the teams are allowed to set the cars up differently for sprint races (low fuel, fewer laps, no pit stops), they run them lower. Albon commented yesterday when following the Mercedes, “How are these cars legal!?”. Presumably he could see that the Merc was running right on the deck. They will ‘adjust’ that for the main race.

Well, a bit of rain really mixes things up. Great timing from Hamilton to go onto slicks and a bit of fortune for Norris. Antonelli was mugged in Turn 1. Would be good to see consistency from the stewards , how did Lawson get a penalty when Piastri didn’t? Both were ‘overtakees’. Both alongside. Both (according to Ant Davis) entitled to racing room under the current regs. :dk:

Sublime last lap by Verstappen in Q3 to get pole, and clear evidence that Antonelli has HUGE potential.

It was close in Q2. 16 hundredths from P6 to P12. That can determine your race.

Indeed. Just shows how close to the limit everything gets when the regulations mature. Different solutions finding answers to the same ‘problems’. It also illustrates the capabilities of engineers, technicians and drivers who together, extract 99.99% of available lap-time. Amazing really.

Good weekend of racing on what’s a fairly dull track. Will be interesting seeing if the McLaren boys end up having a Rosberg/Hamilton 2016 relationship as the year progresses. If I were a betting man i’d be backing Piastri now
I agree. Lando has allowed Max to get in his head!
