front pre fuse box on e320 cdi

Hi
I am trying to find the front pre fuse box on my e320 cdi 53 reg, various websites say it is in the front passenger foot well but i cant find it ?
Anyone know if its behind carpets ?

Do you mean the front fuse box? If so I think this is behind the end of the dashboard on the drivers end, visible when you open the door.

Had all the carpet, metal plate ect out from the passenger foot well
but cant find this pre fuse box ?

Yes seen the photo but no sign of the pre fuse board under carpets ?

Have you checked under the carpet on the drivers side??
Some where on the drivers side

RHD vs. LHD may cause some confusion, maybe not all things are mirrored

Edit: there is also said in the pdf:

The starter wiring harness lug cannot be
properly connected to the terminal point on
the front prefuse box (F32) (outer part of
passenger footwell).

Just done mine on a W211 05 E320 cdi. With Xenon headlamps

I think this only applies to cars with Xenon headlamps
On rhd cars the pre fuse board is under the mats on the drivers side.

(The power distribution board is under the mats on passengers side)

Remove the trim on door sill - it just pulls up
Carefully remove the tags and lift away the carpet
Undo the accelerator pedal 10 mm socket - move to one side
Starting at the glovebox ease the carpet and moulding out
You will find a thick black cable going to a box and next to that the pre fuses

Mine had blown - a 40 amp fuse

Fitting is reverse
